Dear All,
With the warmer weather approaching it is time to release two of our best known estate grown Single Vineyard whites in time for summer.
The 2014 vintage marks the 9th release of our Single Vineyard Liz’s Chardonnay, and the 6th release of our barrel fermented Jessica Sauvignon. Both wines have now had a year or so in bottle to settle down and develop some complexity, however due to the very small 2014 vintage they were made in very small quantities. See below for tasting notes and reviews, including some nice words about our late harvest Riesling from Max Allen. To purchase any of these wines just hit any of the links, visit oakdene.com.au or visit our cellar door. Remember, as a Wine Club member you automatically receive 10% on all wine purchases.

Reviews
“Don’t let the very pale, innocent appearance fool you - this deliciously sweet late - harvest Riesling is full of flavor and character. Fine, floral, almost sherbet perfume leads on to super- ripe, fat yellow fruit finessed by zingy acidity.”

“Pale straw. Come-hither aroma and flavour. Pear and custard apple with white peach hitting the mid-palate and then running through the finish. Spicy/creamy oak is appropriately/seductively applied. Flavour meets finesse.”

“100% barrel-fermented in French barriques (15% new), matured in barrel for 8 months. The approach has worked very well, the gooseberry, guava and citrus fruit neatly framed by the oak; the overall balance and length are admirable.”
