Appearance, Pale straw with a green tinge

Bouquet, Restrained bouquet of tropical fruits with citrus overtones and subtle barrel ferment characters.

Palate, Fresh and fruit driven with abundant tropical fruits, vanilla and a mineral edge, with oak adding texture to the mid palate. Balanced by fresh acidity and a lengthy finish.

Conclusion, Enjoy now, or cellar for the next 4 years, to gain mid palate weight and complexity.

AWARDS

2018 Halliday Wine Companion, Best of the Best by Variety - Sauvignon Blanc, 96 points - Fermented in French Oak (15% new), matured for 8 months .  The bouquet is perfumed, rare for sauvignon blanc, and the palate has great precision and drive, the overall complexity compelling.  The barrel fermentation has worked like a charm, making me reluctant to spit the wine out - unheard of.  If entered in wine shows, it should sweep the field; the length is amazing.   Drink by 2030

RATINGS & REVIEWS

92 points, Huon Hooke, huonhooke.com.au, 2 June 2018 - Light to medium yellow colour; the forward colour suggests oak ageing, which is confirmed by the strongly nutty bouquet. Spicy, balsamic, complex and layered, it has a lot of potential to build more complexity with time in bottle. Very good: precise, focused and long.  Drink 2018 to 2024
