Deep crimson in colour
Complex bouquet of bright mulberry and blackcurrent fruits, leafy notes and cedar oak.
The palate is medium bodied, dominated by red and black currant notes, and a refreshing tobacco leaf edge. Balanced by a firm but fine tannin backbone, fresh acidity, and elegant, classic, bright red fruit characters.
Drink now or cellar for 5 to 12 years.

96 points, 2019 Halliday Wine Companion - 63% cabernet franc, 23% cabernet sauvignon, 14% merlot co-fermented and matured for 16 months in French barriques (30% new). A co-fermented blend of these three varieties is unusual, with different ripening patterns, but made to look oh so easy here. It is full of juicy fruit, the new clones of merlot Q45-14 and 8R making a disproportionate contribution to the intense flavours. The tannin structure is immaculate, the oak contribution likewise. Something special, the cabernet franc happily accepting the support of the lesser quantities of the other varieties.
4.5 Star, Tony Love, Herald Sun, 26 June - This three way blend of merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon is as a Bordeaux blend. And like the west coast of France, these same varieties clearly love the coast of southern Victoria as well. Redolent with blackberry, blackcurrent/cassis and dark plum flavours and aromas, pure to the core, and juicy with just enough tannin in the finish to promise 5-10 years cellaring future.

The bouquet is sweet berry fruited as is the palate, lush and sweetly ripe, with softness, roundness and generous flavour. A very stylish merlot blend. Lovely balance, texture and drinkability.
