A Lighter Shade of Red....Wine!
Some days, we just want to enjoy a light red wine, or maybe a pink one! We have two new releases that absolutely fit the bill. From our Bellarine Peninsula label, the 2021 Rose and 2020 Pinot Noir.
This 2021 Rose is an incredible blend of 63% Shiraz, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot, crisp and dry with the lovliest pale salmon hue, while the 2020 Pinot Noir has come from the most perfect growing season
Both Rose and Pinot Noir are enormously popular varieties and it is little wonder, when in spite the lighter bodied styles, they both remain a highly flavoursome wine delivering complex red-fruit flavours with the occasional hint of spice.
All fruit for these wines has come from our Bellarine Peninsula Mannerim vineyard. Get your hands on some today!

2021 Bellarine Peninsula Rose Pale salmon in colour with a lifted bouquet of red fruits, red currant, some musk, and orange rind. Intensely flavoured palate of red fruits and under-ripe plum notes, balanced by a savoury pithy backbone, and fresh acidity driving the finish. Hand harvested fruit was whole bunch pressed into stainless steel tank, with minimal skin contact. Then fermented at 13 degrees C for 14 days, with lees contact post ferment for 3 months, then fined, filtered, and bottled in June 2021, retaining fresh fruit driven characters and firm acidity. Best consumed young while expressing the bright fruit driven characters. $24 bottle / $21.60 Members Price

2020 Bellarine Peninsula Pinot Noir Bright garnet in colour with a Perfumed bouquet of red flowers, dry spice and ripe red fruit notes. Generous mid palate, with ripe red cherry and abundant savoury/spicy notes. Subtle oak and earthy notes are balanced by firm acidity and fine tannin on the finish. Hand harvested fruit was destemmed, then fermented in small open-top pots, then pressed to barrel for malolactic fermentation and matured in French oak barriques (10% new) for 11 months prior to bottling in February 2021.
