Oakdene is a Halliday, 5 star rated winery boasting highly awarded, hand crafted cool climate wines from the Bellarine Peninsula in Geelong. You may have heard of us, enjoyed events with us, or even sipped our wines. Oakdene, are also proud supporters of the Royal Flying Doctors, RFDS.
For years now, Oakdene has been supporting the RFDS by providing sponsorship to the ‘Going the Distance Dinner’ in Victoria, involving the extended Oakdene family in ‘4x4 The Doc’ and supporting drivers during the ‘Outback Car trek’.
Elizabeth Hooley, co-creator of Oakdene with husband Bernard, grew up in Cobar in central NSW where the RFDS are an integral part of the landscape. It is an organisation that has always been close to her heart, and it didn’t take much for Bernard to inherit a keen admiration for the charity also.
Through these tough times, and with this year’s Outback Car Trek on hold, we have been thinking of ways in which we can continue to support the RFDS, and this is where we hope you will come in.
Oakdene will donate 10% of takings from case sales to the incredible Royal Flying Doctor Service from your wine purchases (12 bottles or more) and we are giving all supporters a 10% discount on the sale, plus free freight anywhere in Australia.
We know you are already a kind supporter of the Royal Flying Doctors from past involvement in the Treks and hope you will continue to help us support them.
