The highly anticipated Geelong Wine region's Pinot Affair is back for another year!
The weekend of events on 20 & 21 May, will be a gourmet paradise with wine tastings and local produce on display, right across the region.
Join us in the ‘Upside-down House’ cellar door for a seated tasting experience of our award-winning, cool climate wines, where for the Pinot Affair weekend only, we are bringing out some specially selected museum wines so you can see for yourself the differences between vintages, and what careful cellaring can achieve over time.
On offer over the weekend is a special Pinot Noir Tasting Flight which includes some of our best back vintages, as well as our signature Oakdene tasting experience, so even if Pinot Noir is not for you, we still have something for everyone. 2020 Single Vineyard Peta's Pinot Noir 94 points, Jeni Port - Halliday Wine Companion 'Hand picked, destemmed with 20% whole bunches, wild-yeast fermentation in small, open pots. Matured in French barriques (30% new). A finer, more delicate pinot noir than the 2019 vintage, but it retains a similar and singularly impressive wild savouriness. Dusty beetroot, earth, black cherry, anise and wild herb aromas. Fine-edged and sinewy to taste, with an underlying depth of fruit concentration that will build with more time in bottle'. $45 bottle

2021 Oakdene Bellarine Peninsula Pinot Noir 92 points, James Halliday - Halliday Wine Companion 'Open fermented and matured for 11 months in new and used French barriques. A very attractive pinot at this price. While light bodied, its red and blue fruits will add spice over the next year or two'.
