2017 Yvette Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnnay

Light salmon tinge with a bright nose of lifted citrus notes, honeysuckle, and red apple aromas, followed by sauvory biscuity yeast derived notes.  Delicate fine mousse, with nice texture, balanced by fresh acidity and fruit pith and zest providing length and a brisk finish.  Fruit was harvested early to retain acidity and allow long term aging on yeast lees. The wine is a dry (or brut) style made from 60/40 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay made in the “traditional method”, where the secondary ferment takes place in bottle.   A dry aperitif style, to be enjoyed now or over the next few years.

2021 Oakdene Single Vineyard Liz's Chardonnay

Pale straw with a green hue and a complex bouquet, with notes of dried apple, peach, and lemon citrus with barrel ferment characters.  Bright and vibrant palate with a generous core of briny acidity and citrus crunch. Stone fruit, oatmeal and lemon curd filling the palate, with toasty oak and cedar notes contributing texture and balance.  Enjoy now with food or cellar for 4 to 8 years.

2021 Oakdene Bellarine Peninsula Field Blend

Bright magenta in colour with a highly perfumed bouquet of red cherry, dried cranberry and spice. Light bodied and fresh, with acidity and fruit driving the palate, raspberry, soft pippy tannin, and spice to close. Shiraz (80%) was destemmed, fermented then pressed off early to tank to maintain fruit and soft tannin profile. Pinot Noir (20%) was destemmed, fermented then pressed to barrel for malolactic fermentation, matured in French oak barriques (10% new) for 8 months. Wine was blended & bottled, unfined. Enjoy now or cellar for 2 to 4 years.
