Bright pale straw.
Complex bouquet, with notes of dried apple, peach, and citrus rind with barrel ferment characters.
Bright and lifted, with a generous core of white stone fruit and citrus crunch. Orange rind, oatmeal and lemon curd filling the palate, with French oak and pithy notes contributing texture and balance.
Hand harvested Chardonnay was pressed and transferred to barrel for fermentation using wild yeast. Post ferment lees stirring was conducted on a fortnightly basis. The wine underwent partial (10%) malolactic fermentation, and was matured in French oak barriques (30% new) for 11 months prior to bottling in February 2023.
Enjoy now with food or cellar for 4 to 8 years.

94 points, James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion - 'Wild-yeast fermented and matured in new and used French barriques. The packet of white stone fruit, citrus and acidity gains weight as it moves through to the long finish. Reflects the 50% crop loss'.
