Very pale salmon in colour.
Lifted bouquet of marzipan, apple peel, and a whiff of oak.
Fuller palate weight, crisp and juicy, with bitter almond, nashi pear and apple fruit notes, oak offering textural detail, lively acidity, and a persistent finish.
Pinot Gris was crushed and run to barrel and inoculated with yeast, fermentation then took place over 10 days. The yeast lees were stirred regularly over the next 8 months while maturing in French oak barriques (15% new), prior to bottling in December 2020.
Enjoy now, or cellar for the next 4 years.
REVIEWS & RATINGS
93 Points, Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion - 'Maintains the producer's high standard already set with the grape. The merest hint of a blush hue, the aromas lifted with spring blossom, just-cut apple and a touch of honeysuckle. Early on in its life, already revealing hints of a complex nature, of marzipan, spiced apple, pear tart. Certainly ripe and full of flavour'.
