Appearance, Pale straw in colour.
Bouquet, Very bright citrus driven nose with some pithy green apple notes.
Palate, Fine persistent mousse, leading to excellent texture and phenolics. Slight reductive notes, not grippy, and very fine, long and intense finish.
Conclusion, A dry aperitif style, to be enjoyed with or without food.
REVIEWS & RATINGS
Toni Paterson, The Real Review, 88 points - Lemon delicious aromatics followed by a lemony palate with faint hints of bread dough. Nicely balanced. Drink 2019–2020
Huon Hooke, The Real Review, 88 points - Medium to light yellow, bright colour, with a developed bouquet of full-blown peach and stone fruit aromas. Some toastiness and some cooked fruit overtones. The palate is fairly dry and slightly bitter with a note of apple cake. It's a bigger style of bubbly, pinot-driven, with lots of bulk and weight that lingers on for a long finish. (24 months minimum on lees). Drink 2019–2023
