Manzanillo is a Spanish olive and a popular growing variety as both the fruit and the oil are equally good. The taste is creamy with a definite ripe apple flavour plus a grassy freshness. A hint of pepper finishes at the back of the throat.
Excellent to drizzle over summer tomatoes, bruschetta and grilled vegetables.
