2023 Pinot Noir

Appearance
Deep garnet with a bright hue.

Bouquet
Perfumed bouquet red cherry, and blue fruits with hints of spice and woody herbs.

Palate
Generous mid palate, with dark fruit, spice and cranberry lead to abundant savoury characters. Subtle French oak and the earthy notes are balanced by fresh acidity and fine sinewy tannin firming up the finish.

Fermentation
Fruit was destemmed, then fermented in small open-top pots, then pressed to barrel for malolactic fermentation and matured in French oak barriques (10% new) for 10 months prior to bottling in November 2023.

Conclusion
Enjoy now or over the next 2 to 6 years.

REVIEWS & RATINGS

92 Points & Special Value Red Star, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion - 'Destemmed, then fermented in small open-top pots. Matured in French oak barriques (10% new). A deep-ish crimson purple. Open-knit with aromas of ripe raspberries, spiced cherries and a little earth. The palate is medium bodied, flavour-packed and totally overdelivers in that if you still have a bottle or two in three to five years from now, you'll be well rewarded!'

86 Points, Stuart Knox, The Real Review - 'Medium ruby with a lifted nose of crushed raspberry and rose petals. Light to medium in weight, sweet berry fruit with a bright acidity across the flow. Reasonable length with the acid line sitting angular to the fruit and a sweetness lingering at the finish'.
