It is well known that flagship wine, Oakdene's Single Vineyard Peta’s Pinot Noir has been a very well-regarded wine receiving accolades including trophies and medals spanning over many vintages.
We have just released the 2017 vintage and it is already proving to be a wine of excellent quality with this latest vintage has already won Gold at the prestigious Sydney Royal Wine Show and Gold at the Rutherglen Wine Show. An amazing result for our small, quality parcel.

2017 Oakdene Single Vineyard Peta's Pinot Noir Pale garnet in colour with a bright hue. A perfumed bouquet of bright floral notes, bright cherry fruit and spice. Intense palate earthy cherry, dark plum notes, with spice and savoury characters. Sappy mid palate, balanced by firm acidity, fine persistent tannins and a long finish. Pinot Noir was destemmed (with the inclusion of 20% whole bunches), then fermented in small open-top pots using wild yeast, then pressed to barrel for malolactic fermentation and matured in French oak barriques (30% new) for 12 months prior to bottling in February 2018. |

92 points, The Winefront, Gary Walsh - I used to quite fancy actress Peta Toppano when I was a young lad. Just saying. Some sappy whole bunch action, but not too much, just a seasoning, over raspberry and cherry, cinnamon and brittle toffee. It’s medium-bodied, soft and sweetly fruited, but with some savoury interest from oak and bunches, plus some of the region’s earthiness. Finish has gentle powdery tannin, a juiciness, and decent length. It’s easy to get along with.
