Winter has arrived on the Peninsula and the solstice is finally upon us!

All of the autumn leaves have fallen in the vineyard and the team here at Oakdene have started the long process of pruning.

Winter has also brought about the new release of our great value Oakdene blue label Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the 2016 vintage.  Perfect for the cold evenings.

2016 OAKDENE BELLARINE PENINSULA CHARDONNAY RRP $24
The 2016 Chardonnay is pale straw in colour with a lifted bouquet of white peach, citrus and cashew notes. It has a bright and creamy mid palate, displaying fresh stone fruit notes, subtle oak characters, refreshing acidity and a long finish. Fermented in mainly seasoned French oak barriques then matured for 11 months.  Enjoy now or cellar for 2 to 6 years.

2016 OAKDENE BELLARINE PENINSULA PINOT NOIR $24
Our 2016 Pinot Noir is deep garnet in colour with lifted dark cherry, spice and earthy notes. It has a full and fleshy mid palate, with dark cherry and savoury red fruits predominating. Subtle oak spice and floral notes, are balanced by firm acidity and silky tannin on the finish. Fermented in small open top pots, then matured in mainly seasoned French oak barriques for 11 months.   Enjoy now or over the next 2 to 6 years.
