Appearance  Pale straw with a green tinge

Bouquet  Restrained bouquet of tropical fruits with citrus overtones and subtle nutty aromas derived from barrel fermentation.

Palate  Abundant guava and white peach, vanilla and a mineral edge, with oak adding texture to the mid palate. Acidity adding precision, focus and length.

Conclusion  Enjoy now, or cellar for the next 4 years, to gain mid palate weight and complexity.

95 Points (Gold) 2019 Halliday Wine Companion, James Halliday - Estate-grown, hand-picked, crushed straight to French barriques (15% new) for fermentation with cultured yeast and 8 months maturation. The use of Sauvignon' (dropping blanc') is European (particularly French, more particularly the Loire Valley). The barrel fermentation and maturation reflects Robin Brockett's experience on the Bellarine Peninsula, and the quality of the vineyard's terroir.

Toni Patterson, The Real Review, 90 points -  An attractive barrel fermented sauvignon blanc with faint buttery tones on both the nose and palate. The oak introduces a delicious savoury element into the wine. I enjoy the depth of the lemony fruit on the palate, as well as the faint nettle accents. It is a wine with lovely complexity, and an excellent choice to serve with food.  Drink 2019–2021
