2018 Pinot Grigo
Pale straw with a pink tinge.
Lifted bouquet of nashi pear, apple blossom and citrus.
Abundant citrus and pear fruit, some mid palate richness, supported by firm acidity and a mineral backbone, and a long dry finish.
Harvested early to retain natural acidity, producing a dry, fruit driven wine, best consumed over the next few years. 13.2% alc
REVIEWS & RATINGS
91 points, Halliday Wine Companion 2020 - 'Shows some skins/lees type savoury characters on the bouquet, along with the usual ripe pear aromas of the variety and a hint of apple pie with cinnamon. Nicely textured palate, quite mouthfilling, and offering sweet fruit flavour and lively youthfulness. It has reasonable acidity but it's basically soft and forward in style, so drink now is the way to go.'
Toni Patterson, The Real Review, 86 points - Ripe yellow pears with hints of candied lemon rind. The palate is sweet-natured and highly fruity with faint spice on the finish. Drink 2019–2020
Huon Hooke, The Real Review, 87 points - Very light salmon-pink colour. The aroma is light and savoury, as it is also in the mouth. The finish is very dry and it has a touch of richness in the middle. It's rather straightforward but is a clean, dry, crisp finishing quaffer with appetising qualities. Drink 2019–2021
