Johnny and Lucy will take you on a musical journey sharing lifes ups and downs, wins and losses, sadness and heartache, irony joy and ridiculousness, all of which gives their music a rich distinct individual flavour that could only be described as truly their own.

Lucy and Johnny live their lives on the coast surfing, diving, gardening, parenting, and of course playing and sharing music. Their individual experiences and life's journeys add to the many flavours, colours, and textures of their music allowing it to develop into a solid sound that they can call their own. 

Johnny (aka Jon Willard) has been a lively participant in the music scene around the coast, Geelong, and Melbourne regions for over twenty years. Some of his accolades include playing with and supporting some of the cream of Australias local and national music talent. Johnny is also a credible song writer and solo performer in his own right.

Lucy, is a multi instrumentalist and vocalist known for her spirited violin and beautiful vocal harmonies. Her own musical journey has lead her through folk, blues, country, rock, and classical music with collaborations in Melbourne and Geelong. Lucy is also a song writer and solo artist in her own right.

Pop Up Beer Garden Bar - Final Weekend

The Pop Up Pizza & Beer Garden Bar at Mr Grubb on the lawn area is open for the Labour Day long weekend. Come and grab a Furphy or Flying Brick Cider from the keg. Estate grown Oakdene wines are also available and there is also a limited menu.

Please note that there is no glass or service on the lawn area.

As part of the 'Out of Town' program for Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Oakdene is offering a 3 Course Lunch (excluding beverages), a property train tour and a vineyard wine tasting - all for $62 per person.

Tour the Oakdene Vineyard property aboard the 'Oakdene Express' 3 carriage train and take in the vineyards and the unique and eclectic art works and gardens that create the quirky Oakdene experience. 

Enjoy wine tastings during the tour of some of the award winning estate grown Oakdene Wines and then move into the restaurant Marty @ Oakdene for an exquisite 3 course lunch (beverages are not included). 

Train tours/wine tastings begin promptly at 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm followed by lunch.

Marty @ Oakdene will be opening its doors for dinner on Sunday night (12th March) to help you celebrate the long weekend in March for Labour Day. We'll do the labour while you enjoy the fantastic food and wine we have to offer at the restaurant.

Over the Easter Weekend in April (yes, its coming up faster than we think), the restaurant Marty @ Oakdene will be offering an exquisite special 3 course menu for $59 per person. This menu will include limited options and will be sure to make your dining experience over easter an enjoyable one.

Oakdene's Master Classes
